only scorpion can that i have ever seen/heard was on a 99 zx6r. it was loud. really loud. just about like a d&d. i know, totally different bikes but it you don't like to be heard miles away then i would say go for something else.

I don't know man I had a scorpion exhaust on my 02 R6 and it sounded awesome. Go to the Scorpion web page and you can listen to how it sounds, I love that feature b/c most web pages for exhausts don't have that feature

Now you are confusing me. Surely there is someone here who has it on a 03,04,05,06 600RR.... I don't want something that is stupid loud. Actually truth be known I want the best of both worlds. I want something dirt cheap, that works/sound great.

You are not gonna notice any big difference in performance from any slip on exhaust, i don't care who makes it or how much it costs. With slip ons and full systems on the street it's about sound, if you have mods and are hitting the track that's a different story. Unless you have a 900 horsepower toyota Supra an exhaust is just an exhaust, it's about sound dude.

Yeah but if they come with a sticker you are gaurenteed 2-5hp if you put that on the bike with the exhaust. Actually from what I read that is true about the sound anyway.

personally i see no problem with buying an exhaust that's a little cheaper, paying 5,6 700 hundred bucks for a slip on is insane. Those guys who do it are paying for the name imo. When i'm out tearing the street up, the last thing on my mind is,
"I wonder what kind of exhaust that guy has?"

I recently purchased a Scorpion exhaust for my 600RR. Price was great, fit is good (its mounts straight, not crooked), liftime warranty on the baffle, and best of all - nobody else that I know has one.

I read an article comparing various pipes on an R6. The scorpion scored very good on both HP and weight (not like there is any major difference anyway)

Now, if the weather will warm up I will take it out to see how it sounds.

My bike is in my basement and is a two person job to get it out - or I definetly would have fired it up by now (installed it over a month ago).

And there is over a foot of snow outside. When I do take it out I will try to describe the sound.

That really isn't too much cbrforum.com dedication. Just tie a rope to a basement pole and to you and jump on the bike and ride in a circle...
