Hey... A few weeks ago I made a post about a custom in-tail rear light that I had made for my 600RR. For reference, it can be found here: http://www.CBRForum.com/m_448452/tm.htm (see pics) I finally got around to working on my bike again, and got the tail fitted and positioned on the bike. It looks sick. I have some pictures of the bike with the light both on and off, and just some general images. Im really happy with it, and my buddy got in his car and we lowered down the bike to check visibility and its great. The light I modified was the clear alternatives CTL-0062-IT (I think it was for an 06 or an 03, cant remember but thats the model number)///////. Also on a side note: on the way to go work on my bike, my friend and I got to play cat and mouse with a ferrari f430, we were in my friends car, which is a supercharged (and extremely worked) 96 M3. It was a fun trip to the bike. Side note two, i took all of these pics with my iphone, and they came out better than expected. Thumbnail Image

And just in case you are as bored as I am, here are some other pics I took today of the bike (a work in progress), the ferrari previously discussed above (pic taken at about 120mph from a cell phone), and my 103 pound girlfriend who likes it when the knees get scraped off her jeans... sometimes i forget shes there cause she hangs on so well and doesn't weigh sh*t. Thank you. What i meant by the liner is that black plastic part that is the bottom of the tail (when you put it on the bike). All I had to do was cut it back to make room for the light taking up some space in the rear of the tail, but it took five minutes, not really that difficult. As far as the light, use the model number that i posted above. Basically what you have to do when you get the light is take it apart (with a heat gun to separate the glue), and then trim down the pane so that it fits inside the tale without stretching the tail. When you get it apart it will be pretty obvious how it all goes in there, the LED bar will align perfectly along the seam in the panel, facing down, and then its just a matter of plastic welding it all together. I used loctite super-glue gel to make contact points getting the lens to hold, and then filled in all the spaces with high temp silicone. After that dried I put the light bar in, affixed it in the same fashion, and then build a waterproof backing by building up the silicon behind it. Took me three steps over about three days because the glue and silicon took time to dry, but it only took about 3 hours beginning to end of work, most of it being the trimming down of the light lens with a dremel. Let me know if you have any more questions.

great info Vert. I am going to do this after I finish putting all of the fairings on. I am having some difficulties with the set I bought on ebay fitting correctly. Nothing I do turns out easy! http://www.cbrforum.com/m_460514/tm.htm
