the stock hi-beams on the '07 600RR are very bright to me compared to my zx6r.  I have had other cars flash their lights at me.  I ride with the hi's on only as I don't like the 1 light low-beam setup.  don't need to change the light setup on the 600RR, but for my zx6r maybe...

I got the kit from 1tail.com and it stated it was for a 07 CBR RR. When I got the kit in the mail it stated it was from bikelitez. I did not have to make any mods to the headlight housing its self. I would highly suggest that if you do get a kit get the one with the small ballast. It was hard to find a good place to mount the ballest and still beable to remount the lower fairings. The kit cost was 239.95 plus shiping.

man yall are getting ripped off on these hid kits. search Ebay for them, i got the slim ballast kits for both lights and got them shipped to me for 119 total. ive bought a couple of different hid systems from this guy to install on my bike, my jeep, and 3 friends trucks, and havent had any problems with any of them. just my .02 oh yea here is the link to get them and the price has gone down since i bought them. now they are 105

ALSO make sure you get the "auto kit" no that doesnt mean its for a car it just means that there are 2 lights in the kit instead of 1 like in the "motorcycle kit"

and for you people with an 07 here is a write up on installing them, yes they use a different kit but its the exact same wire setup

The kits (H7) seem to be available in 5,000, 6,000, 8,000 and 10,000 color temperature.  Am I correct that the clearest pure white highest intensity woould be the 5,000.

that would be the most white but the 6000k is i think the brightest after seeing them all and i would recommend the 6000k for our bikes

so you're saying that the H7 super slim 6000k auto conversion kit is the best option?  it says something about having to give up the high beam - what's that all about, or does it not apply?

also, does that mean that the 10000k blue isn't as bright on the road?  i'm not sure i follow, but i'm borderline tard.

As long as the HID kits are H7's, it doesn't matter what year websites say they're for.

For the 2007, you will have to drill a small hole in the caps that covers the access to the bulbs to fit the wires through. No big deal though, the bulbs have a rubber grommet on there to seal up the hole.

I haven't dealt with the mini-ballast kits yet, but I have purchased quite a bit of HID kits, all from the HID-Outdoor Equipments eBay store that was mentioned above in earlier posts. GREAT product, great customer service and not one of those kits has let me down yet. (and I've had one of mine for well over a year).

So, as long as you get the H7 auto kit (auto kit has 2 of everything, motorcycle kits only have 1 of everything), you'll be perfect. I do recommend getting the new mini-ballast kits for the 07/08 models. Space is even tighter on those than on the 03/06 models.

As for the color temperature...............the closer you get to the 5000k color temperature, the better. The 4300-5000k HID's are going to be a true-white and produce the brightest light output onto the road. 6000k's have just a little more blue in them (but still white on the road). The higher you move up the scale, the more blue/purplier they become..........but they also loose brightness the further up you go, so sticking around the 5000-6000k mark is the best bet.

If you guys have any HID questions, let me know.

ok, thanks for clearing that up.  i was always under the impression that the higher the number the brighter the light, and that other colors (like the blue) somehow travel farther or reflect differently to give better vision.  but like i said above, i'm not that smart.

You're alright. The system, in terms of light output vs. color, is backwards. Don't worry about it.

Hey mine didnt come with this rubber grommet, I dont know what to do since if I drill a hole in my 2007 casing it wont be water tight.  Im not sure what to do since Ive had the lights for a week and went to try it today and you need to go out through the back light casing (by drilling).  How else could I runthe wires through a hole and make it water tight??  I need some help here and I really want to do this already.  Thanks anyone for any help...
