i have a 98 900RR and the preivous owner wrecked.the subframe was toast along with the tank. Now i have gotten a 95 900rr parts bike and it seems that everything looks to line up,But when i try to mount the tank the rear mounting tab on the tank doesnt line up with the 98 tank or the 95.
Does anyone know if this will work???im not worried about the plastics because i can get the rear plastics from either bike to work on this subframe and i have both seats from both years. What im stressing is the tank mounting
please help

Won't the 96-97 work too?  In in 96, Honda move the top tailsection mount forward.
