Undertail - 1/8/2008 5:19:22 PM    Onarom Posts: 1201 Joined: 8/29/2006 Status: offline I like the idea of having an untertail to "clean up" around the muffler, but I wasn't a fan of how much more color it added to the bike and how it made the tail look fat (for a lack of better words): I also wasn't a fan of the $200 price tag. BUT... I won a bid on eBay for $60 (total). I just didn't want to add any more color, so I went with black. I am very happy with the results and I thought I would share a few pics in case anyone else was wondering what a black undertail would look like on the Red/Black CBR. As you can see, the black practically disappears and really cleans up the underside IMO Post #: 1

I installed it on mines and made it to where my clear alternatives turnsignals work with the undertail turn signals at the same time... (in reply to kravguy) Post #: 3

I removed the black blastic piece behind the taillight (on the inside/underside of the tail, you will have to remove the seat cowling before you will see it). Once I did that, everything fit flush. There are no gaps, that is just a reflection (Plexus is an awesome spray polish!) I,like Robbskittles, also have intigrated turnsignals (i.e. Clear Alternatives) working with my undertail blinkers. Nice and bright - makes me feel a little safer. As for the scorpion exhaust, I really like it. It is a little louder than a Yosh pipe, but quieter than all the other pipes I have heard. It might not be the best pipe to get as far as HP is concerned, but I still reccommend it. (in reply to rmtcrib) Post #: 6
