Is there a reason why: every time I take my bike to a shop (and this has happened even with cars, even in another country), they adjust the clutch DEEP. I mean minimal friction zone, it doesn't engage until you let it out almost all the way? I end up revving too high and the bike jumps :(

And this when I've taken it in with a completely unrelated issue!

Unless there's a good reason I'm adjusting it right back.

because honda said it must be at XX adjustment. otherwise Honda wont cover their work... "do as i say, not as i do" kind of thing.

next time, tell them not to touch the clutch.

I dunno, I kind of think they do the clutch to give the impression, that they have really worked on it. Kinda of like topping up the washer bottle in your car when you get it serviced.
Either way, it takes ages to get it back to the way you like it, & the bloody lock nut always seems to loosen up after you do.

they do the same with the idle speed. Berts mega mall in west covina tells me that they adjust everything back to factory spec by default when they work on a bike. If you tell them not to touch that system, they will note it and not mess with it.
