I was thinking of picking up a ZG double bubble in dark smoke because I really like the look of it, but would the combination of a tinted visor + tinted windscreen be a bad idea due to poor visibility? Also the fact that its on there for night time riding aswell.

Unless your always tucking, I don't see there being to much of a problem.

Matter of fact I don't think I even look thru the windscreen when tucking always looking over it.

I wouldn't be overly concerned with it. If you aren't tucking at night with a tinted visor, which I hope you are not, then you will be just fine. It actually makes your gauges much more visible at night, due to less light exposure from the vehicles in front of you. Can get in a way a little when you really want to bomb down, but to be honest, if your here your on a honda anyways, and our ride stance is more upright then the others to begin with. Compensating for it should not be difficult. Also: Look into the Puig, its tight and has a greater rake, so less air hits your helmet when you down.

I have the Puig tinted screen on mine and I have a tinted visor.  Occasionally on long highway rides back from the mountain I'll practically lay down with my chin on the tank and in this position I'm looking through the windscreen.  I have no problems seeing.  Of course this is during the day.  Tinted visor at night is extremely dark.

I think I like the look of the puig race screen now that I've looked at both. I've heard rumors about aftermarket tinted screens melting your gauges if you leave it out in the sunlight for a long time... any truth to this?

Certain screens can melt gauges if the sun is at just the right angle.  If you plan on parking it in the sun for an extended period of time, just bring a small rag under the seat with you and pop it over the gauges when you leave it.

don't have much room at all for a rag, let alone a tooth pick with that exaust under the seat. That's my only gripe with these bikes

If you plan on riding at night time I dont recommend a tinted visor. Your just gonna have to switch it out everytime you wanna ride in the day then at night. Easy way to get pulled over and or hurt as well. Your visability just isnt as good with the tinted visor. I personally dont enjoy  riding at night because things are just to hard to see.
