I've done something that I don't know how to reverse. I somehow unsubscribed to threads even though it shows that I am. The little yellow folder icon that allows you to change this does not appear like it should. What am I to do to correct this so that I can subscribe to more threads?

Go to "My Profile", then "My Subscription", it's all there... :)

Talking about not being spun up on the threads...I saw that I had the forums checked but at the bottom, the message said that I had not subscribed to any threads yet. I did not know that nothing shows up there until you post something else. Duuuuuu...thanks!
