So I've been throwing the idea around for a while to build a racing inspired them bike.  I have a good friend that owns a bike shop here in Birmingham, AL, and I asked if he would like to sponsor the build ,if you will, for publicity for his shop.  So here's the skinny... I have a 600rr that has all the bolt on performance goodies you can shake a stick at... the bike has a custom dyno map and is making 108 hp at the wheel.

The theme of the bike is going to be the Shocker.... you know... 2 in the pink, 1 in the stink.  The paint scheme is going to be a metallic silver on the front of the bike, with a shocker symbol painted on the middle, upper, and tank cover, in a metallic black with a floresent orange outline.  I know what your thinking....florecent orange... trust me it's going to look awesome.  The tail section and lower fairings as well as the fornt and rear fenders will be the metallic black.  The wheels are going to be the orange with black outer stripes...

The other upgrades will be rear sets, steering stabilizer, and powdercoated engine covers and swing arm... flat black to match the frame...

I'm always open to ideas and suggestions... so please give them.... I will post pictures of the progress... and if anyone in the Birmingham area needs any type of late model sport bike work done  come see Kelly at Russell's Speed Shop.  31st Street and 3rd Ave South  205-328-2119

Considering RR is race ready or race replica the theme is already happening. You have to show off parts that aren't just paint and bling. Anyone with a few hours can paint.

Carbon Wheels. Anyone can just slap paint and powdercoat on anything, Wheels are cool and carbon wheels are the coolest. The other thing is mounting the tires, anyone that mount and dismount tires on carbon wheels I would trust with my stock or alloy rims.

Rotors?

You need something that says Brembo and/or Ohlins on it too.

yea, yea.. what he said. you need some BREMBO's rockin' ohlin's suspension. Along with some CF bling. I do however think the bright orange will look good. i was thinking of doing that (outlining the honda flames wit bright orange)

Oh yeah....I'm all about parts.... I've already done a full Yoshi exhaust that you can see in the picture as well as stacks, custom built air intakes, power commander, with a very custom map that is making 105.6hp, ohlins steering stabilizer, sprokets, rearsets, flush mount hotbodies signals, and intergrated taillight... there might be a little something else but I can't think of anything else.  The brakes will be my next project... like bigger rotors and brembo calipers. My forkes have been reworked with hyperpro fork spings and valving...  But enough rambling and here are some more pictures and check out the wheels..... they are freaking awesome... I think so anyway.....

And some more....  now the outline on the middle fairing is how the "Shocker" symbol is going to lay but keep in mind that it is a very ruff layout... and since then we have changed it and are still throwing around ideas about it's final look... and no it's not going to be green that's the color vinal we used because we had a lot and noone wants that color...

I think you need to have some of the wheel color on the bodywork, preferably on each of the panels, it will bring it together and look like a cohesive thought. Maybe not alot of that color, but some at least as an accent.

So far it looks like it is coming along nicely.
