i know this isn't fairly easy, and doesn't come in a 12oz spray can.. but materials are fairly inexpensive and as long as your prep work is good, and you have alittle time, and patience.. you'll get semi decent results.

the materails ran me about 50 bucks. paint/reducer, clearcoat/hardener. mixing cups, stir sticks, and strainers on the house...

you still see a little orange peel, but not nearly as bad as ive seen others... after a quick 1500 wetsand, followed by a foam pad buffing compound.. it'll be just like new!

long road from a cracked and missing mounting hole, and serious road rash on the one side...

as much as i end up painting plastics, i'm considering making the investment into a compressor and gun.

the main problem with rattlecans is you'll never get an adequate clear that will survive gasoline. this is what limits me to sticking with flat colors. plus, i'm lazy and hate wetsanding/buffing

not to mention wetsanding and buffing... but the layers of coats between flash times takes time too.. that fairing took 4 coats of base, and 3 coats of clear. each base flash time was 15 mins.. and each clear was 10... so thats about an HOUR and a half of clock time, just to lay paint. prep time is on you, and so is after care..

its a great hobby if you have the time. a couple hours here, and a couple hours there.. and you can have mighty fine looking body work. when rattle cans said and done can be done in 1 or 2 hours.

I am going to put another coat on here sooner or later, and that clear like i said. But should i add a Honda sticker at the bottom and maybe a 600 sticker on the tail and CBR on the air intake scoops? After i do the final coats of course...
