I am about to order some HID's next week and wanted to see if anyone on here has pictures of there HID's at night to compare the different temps and colors. I wanted to get the 10000k because I like the blue tint so maybe if we can get some pictures on here to see what they all look like will help us all out with these same questions. Thanks.

The higher the temp the less effective light. I believe 3500k is about best. I have 6000 which has a little blue in it. 10000 may not be best in seeing contrast on the road.

I have tried to take pics of different hid kelven's before, but never came out. You never really get a good feel of the color. Just do a search. You will find that between 4-8k you get the best light. I went with the 10k more for the looks. It really seperates you from every other vehicle on the road. But I dont due much riding at night, so the less "effective" lighting did not bother me. Good luck with your choice! Make sure you get the slim ballast kit. Make sure your getting a kit that has two of everything.

the 10k is just plain rice, if you know what i mean. it doesn't light up anything at all.

If you are wanting them for better light, stay 6k and under...Want them for "looks" then get what ever color you want.. My buddies gsr with 10k hids, its lighting plain SUCKS even compaired to stock bulbs.Plenty bright but not a lot on the road.

4300k here.. lots of white light on the road...the lights themselves look bluish.. reflective white traffic signs have a tinge of purple when lit up by them

Does no one know I'm the HID authority around here? (^^ Hamster's bike by the way.) Here's the link to the thread to the write-up to install an HID kit. A new write up (since I just purchased a new 07 600RR) will be coming soon. Might I add, I would strongly suggest NOT getting the 10000k kit. Go with a 5000k or 6000k because the 10000k kit's don't give off as much light as the lower K kits, not to mention it's very blue on the ground, versus the lower K kits which have a more pure white light output. http://www.cbrforum.com/m_379249/tm.htm
