What do you mean an incomplete broken engine???  This engine is still complete and runs great.  The clutch doesn't affect the running of the engine.  What do you consider a complete engine?  Do you consider the trans part of the engine?  I'm now confused as to what you were expecting when you just asked about purchasing the engine.

Jim,

How about $500 for the motor as it sits?  The only thing that you would have to swap is the clutch and I don't think that would take more than 30 minutes.  Let me know if you are still interested.  I would really like to get this engine to you so that you can get your bike going again.

Drew,  i must appologize.  I did not realize that you would assume the transmission was not part of the complete engine. yes you could be correct in saying the engine still runs fine but, how am i to know that the case does not need split to accomplish this repair. my case needs split and though i am capable of performing this task i do not want to split the case. meaning i would repair mine before byeing your's, it would cost me less.  further more, you broke something inside your transmission, telling me you dont really know what your doing. what makes you think i will believe you when you say it will only take 30 min to repair. if it were so easy, why did something get broken? you see. i am an ASE certified technician and my colledge degree is for automotive applied science. ive wrenched in several ford dealerships and a few non specific repair shops. you can not pull the wool over my eyes. like i said, i might be interested in your parts engine/trans but thats about it. i figure at this point it is nothing more than a rebuildable core and not worth much more than 150.00 dollars(considering aluminum scrap value is pretty high). i hope the clutch assemble that you did pull was worth it.

Wow, you really are something Jim.  You are saying that you are an ASE certified tech, which litterally means nothing to me, but you think that because I made a small mistake while pulling the clutch, and broke the CLUTCH CENTER that the case needs to be split!!!  Man, I don't ever want you to work on my car as it seems like you don't even know how to fix a simple clutch problem on a bike that would litterally take about 30 minutes if you knew what you were doing.  Sorry I tried to give you the benifit of the doubt.  If you think it's only worth $150, then go fly a kite.  I don't normally react like this but it sounds like you just don't want it and are trying to find a way out.  Everything on the engine is fine, nothing was damaged, only the CLUTCH CENTER which is something that you pull when you remove the clutch anyway.

It's amazing how many people say that they are an ASE certified tech but don't know crap about working on anything because it hasn't been showed to them.  I'll keep my engine thank you.  When I put it on Ebay I'll let you know and you can bid with everybody else, but be sure that the starting price will be higher then the $150 that you seem to think the engine is worth.

Easy there Gents. This thread is getting a little testy.

Drew, do you still have the instrument cluster and surround for that? I'm also looking for the windscreen and cowling it is secured to as well.

I think that will be ok.  My email address is jatayl@swbell.net and my zipcode is 77581 for shipping calculations.  Email me and we can discuss payment methods and finalize shipping costs.  Thanks.

I need this stuff gone.  All reasonable offers will be considered.  I have everything but the front calipers, clutch, swingarm and left fairing.  Everything else is still avaliable.
