Hey guys, this is Grant from Alabama. I know, I know, *insert redneck joke here.* Now, the reason I say I'm not your ordinary noob, is I don't own a CBR and don't plan on buying a complete bike. However, I DO plan on buying a CBR engine. You see, I'm building a bec (bike engined car) for drag racing mostly, but for playin' around with whenever I wanna have a little fun. The reason I come here is to hopefully find out a little info on the motor in which I plan to use, and maybe some suggestions on milking out some more ponies from it. Don't, however, think I'm stealing the motor out of a road-worthy bike. The motor I'm more than likely going to get was taken from a wrecked bike, so no hi-jacking here.

Welcome anyways....... Motor you are probably going to want to use would be a CBR1kRR circa 2004+ OR a CBR1100XX. Probably will get the most ponies out of this one, however, kinda hard to find I would think. A CBR929/954 motor would probably be your best bet for a search. Good luck!!

Okay, if no one else will say it, I will. Why not use the busa motor?

lol, I love how my introduction thread gets more response than the thread I made on this topic in the CBR1000 section. haha, anyways...The Busa motor is too expensive for me right now, considering I'm trying to keep this thing on a budget. It came down to the zrx1200r or the cbr1000rr for about the same price. I explained a lot in my other post, might wanna read that. It's in the cbr1000 section, "'05 CBR1000RR Specs and Info." Thanks for the responses guys.
