Paint em. You can do it yourself with the right prep and have it look good. Esp if they're all there and not broken.

Doing a decent paint job is 95% prep work and 5% spraying... You can tell that just by looking at the rattle-can job I did on my gas tank and my fairings (which was terrible)... although using spay paint doesn't help.

Cam Chain Tensioner Regulator/Rectifier Some have been known to catch fire due to faulty stator wiring.

Well, I went and looked at it. The guy lied to me. Told me the forks had been rebuilt by a local shop. Called the shop, no record. To add insult, he hadent even wiped the fork legs off. They where crusted with old oil trailing back and over the brake calipers. New chain and sprockets, he said. They hadent seen a drop of lube or adjustmet since new. Bright, shiney rollers and sprocket teeth. So loose, I could touch the bottom of the swing arm with the top of the chain. He said it idled rough, because it was cold. We met in a parking lot. Not far from where it was stored. Yet, he was going up high through the gears. Reving the heck out of the bike. (I could hear him coming down the hill) I'll have to keep looking. This isnt the one for me.

Good for you, for walking away. Sounds like an utter POS. Good luck on the hunt, it's not hard to find a cheap machine... Just gotta be patient.
