I am really looking for some comments on this one. It is for a project I am really interested in what everyone thinks.

While it is close to what I see in my head, it's not quite perfect. I plan to do this shot again and fine tune the lighting.

And setup shots. In the shot posted above, the big reflector in the front left was not used.

It looks remarkable. One thing I learned with all my years with photography is that it never turns out like you imagined..........but you do get those very few that turn out better that you could have ever imagined.

But again, great looking picture. I with I had access to that equipment and facility. No telling what type of havoc I could raise.

^^ LOL. Good catch.

I retract my previous statement. What I meant to say was "Your photo would turn out much better than you ever imagined.................IF it was of a CBR." Yep, that's what I meant to say.

Have you learned nothing? Bashing other bikes is what we do. We will still wave on the road and offer help if you break down, but we will still feel superior for some stupid unknown reason.

Congrats on the new bike.

Ahhhh!!! MY EYES! WTF HAVE YOU DONE?!?!?!?

Just playing. Anywho, did your lighting do that to the color on the GSXR or was the red (?) that close to pink? I know the light you use has a HUGE influence on what color things look like but it seems that the red is more pink than Honda red. Silly gixxers.

When is the Honda photo shoot?

It's actually the color of Advil...homeboy's software drains the red for some reason, it happened all over his F3 and Suzuki in a thread a few months ago...

Great shots, no bashing required...

^^ Easy fix for that. Reds are usually dulled when you compress them into a JPEG. So with some of my pictures, I change the HUE to make the reds a little more orange and turn the saturation up a little. This helps tremendously and makes the compressed JPEG look as close to the original as possible.

Pretty nice set-up. One thing I've realized in composition in photograpy is "transportation vehicles" whether, cars, bikes, planes , boats, etc. are best in their elements. Your set-up to me is a "portrait" set-up. Great for head shots, nude photography and so forth...
I say get that bike out on the road and look for a very interesting backdrop/landscape and bring your tri/mono pod, long exposure, stop it down, and let her rip....
Good luck.

I was looking for a different motorcycle shot and considering this is just rim light. It would be terrible for portraits, though it would work for nudes.

Anyways, it is a red gixxer. Let me know if it looks better now.

I like the rawness of the last picture the best actually. the first one i think you need to add some overhead lighting reflecting off of the rear of the tank

I know what you're looking for...but it's not getting threough...yet. I tried to pull the exif off the image, but wasn't intact. Probably from the PP. Just keep playing with the light and as I stated before, the aperture...With the equipment you have, 1DmkII, you should have excellent results.

It has to do with color profiles. I just didn't export as sRGB. I edit in Adobe RGB for print, but the web uses sRGB. THe first one should be fine now. I re-exported and uploaded it as sRGB.

Let me know if it comes out correctly. I tested it on my other computers and it looks fine to me now.
