Ok everyone, I don't know about everbody else...but I am extremely dissapointed with the styling of 2008's sport and supersport bikes...I know styling is by no means the top priority....but cmon' The Cbr1000rr isn't THAT awfull compared to the rest...but is by no means as good looking as the 07'. As for the gsxr....the only real noticble change on the bike is the headlight...which, in my opinion...looks like the 2004 headlight with R1 headlights on either side....Looks kind of silly. As for the Hayabusa...the front looks better than the last models.....but the tail is even worse than the previous models (who would have thought that was possible?). Now getting to where I am the most dissapointed...the ZX-10...I really liked the 07 ZX10..and was a fan of most of Kawasaki's earlier model bikes......but oh my....this is by far one of the worst looking sport bikes I have ever seen......I am at a loss of words for the cosmetics of this bike. Where as Yamaha's R1 and R6 remain generally unchanged except small tweaks here and there....and what do you know...they are by far the best put together in 2008 as far as cosmetics.....as for performance.......that may be a different story. Let me know what you guys think.

IMO the best looking bike for 08 is the Ninja 250R.  I'm not a fan of the looks of most newer bikes.  The R6 is still good looking and the 600RR is not bad eaither.  The Busa is ugly and I think it always will be.

I heard that the CBR 1000RR looks better in person.  I can only assume that the person to make that claim was high as ****!  That thing ranks right up there with...........well.........hell I can't even think of anything it ranks with but I did not find it attractive in person or otherwise.  The 10R?  The aftermarket will be hot with Akro's for that turd.  If not for the exhaust it is tolerable.  Not as nice looking as the 04-05, but tolerable.  It looks a lot like a TL 1000R in the headlight area.  The 250 Ninja comes with a FINALLY updated look and it looks nice.
The R1?  Well, it's an R1, it's not bad.  Same with the R6.  Not bad, but certainly not great.  The Busa doesnt look different enough to call it new and improved, it still looks like a Busa through and through.
The GSX-R is the best looking one yet IMO.  I'm sure that will change next year, but for this year the GSX-R has my eye from a looks stand point.
The B-King is amazing for how ungodly HUGE that tank area is.  WOW!!  It's got to be very similar to a Boss Hoss. LOL.
I like the Red/White paint scheme on the 600RR this year....VERY sexy! It has that early 80's red/white Honda color to it.  Nice.

The KTM Super Duke is great..........I would love one for day to day riding.

I liked the 1000RR in person, wasn't beautiful or anything but I didn't hate it as much as I thought I would.  The 10R is painfully ugly.  I died a little inside when I saw that bike...   The 250 is finally a decent looking bike!
I liked the GSX-R 600 and 750, still don't like the 1000 w/ dual exhaust though.  The R6 looks better, it doesn't look a lot different but the subtle changes made were good imo.
The 848 rocks!  Hypermotard is still damn cool.  I like Yamaha's new 250 motard, that looks like a blast to ride.

I don't give a crap about the hayabusa

I just took a close look at the new zx-10.  It looked way better in person.  I like it.  The only thing that takes a bit to get use to is the front.  They have a weird looking crossed eyed look with a big gapping hole as a ram air.  But the rest of it looked cool.  And it feels really light, like a 600.  I am seriously thinking about getting a zx-10 or the new cbr1k.  Have yet to see that one in person.  They just need to work on the color schemes judging from the photos.

I liked the CBR1000 in person, disliked the ZX10, loved the new GSXRs apart from the hayabugly thing which looks like it needs 4 wheels to balance!

Personally I love the look of the new KTM superbike; if I had the money....

I gotta agree and say for the most part the bikes got uglier this year.  If I were buying a bike strictly on looks, it would be the R1 or the 1098.  I still like the look of the dual undertail.

well at first when i saw 08 1000rr pics i tought wtf is that, but after a short ride i am in love with her. The nose like front fairing dosent look so bad in person and overall fairing looks so light. And lets be honest it is one hellowa light bike
As for kawa. Well i just say why? - why to do something like this

New busa, well it looks good especcially in white. Those big mufflers suit there also , as for me, but back fairing is place for arguing - well everyone has own taste:)

PS if someone havent read this, then good reading http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/Article_Page.aspx?ArticleID=6139&Page=1

I agree with you 99%.  At least dirtbikes and supermotos still look pretty good for 2008.  I don't know what happened.  I guess they're catering to all the squids in their early 20's.  At least MV Agusta and Ducati haven't lost their minds yet.  About some goddamn ugly-ass bikes put out this year for sure.  The Hondas look best of the Japanese group at least, and seem to be the most comfortable.

I went to a bike night recently where about 1000 bikers attended.  A good variety of bikes, a lot of new squids with girlfriend on the back with hardly any clothes on.  Many of us with 2 piece or 1 piece leather suits also.  A good variety of folks.  I have to say though that I have helmets older than half the guys who were there.

I think used bikes are where it's at now, at least for us older guys who have been riding a while.  I've been riding 32 years now, pretty insane when you think about it, time flies.
