KBB is *always* too high.... for both cars and bikes. NADA lists the avg value at 5,560 which would be for a bike that was "clean without obvious defects"
The fact that your bike has been:
1. down already
2. wheelied
3. had numerous replacements

takes it out of that category. I think a value between average retail and low retail would be fair, if there aren't any other problems with the bike.

Wheelied once mind you, and by accident. You should appreciate the fact Im even being honest I could have lied and said it's never been down and just fixed the tail.

I'm trying to be as thorough as possible and I don't think my price is way out of hand.

Don't assume that I don't have interest just because I haven't made an offer. Maybe I don't like the price (as i have already stated) It just so happens that I am in the market for an upgrade from my gs500

Anyways, being honest is something you should feel obligated to do anyway. What were you trying to say?

Instead... I am going to one-up you and post a photo of a miata with the shark-tooth mod!
The absolute most I can spend on a new bike at the moment is $4k, so an '03 is just out of my price range unless I come into some unexpected money
