Hey all, I am new to the forum and somewhat new to motorcycles. I have a 93 CBR 600 that decided to take a swim in a puddle of salt and rainwater mix. Before you ask, I live near the ocean and we had a 20 ft high tide that caught the bike during a storm. The storm blew the bike exhaust side down into a 1 ft deep puddle. She no longer runs. I had the engine checked and she is shot..go figure. My question is can the engine be rebuilt of would it be easier and cheaper to buy a used or rebuilt one. Also what year engines will fit into my frame without modifications. Any help would be appreciated.

Damn, that was my FIRST bike, same color combo and all, I STILL love how that ride looks. Wish I still had mine, just to have it. You might want to check around, I had a SECOND LOOK seat cover on mine that matched the paint scheme, even the red number plate stripe in the back. Good luck with getting her going, you have a COOL A$$ bike.

Homes, I've got a seat that matches that bike and I'd be happy to sell it. I've actually got a whole bunch of f2 parts for sale.
