Why BBQ? Just find a place to eat at somewhere on the road. And I might be down if anyone wants to ride up from around philly.

I live in north jersey soon moving to Upper Black Eddy in PA(Right on the Delaware south of Easton) and as long and I would be done for a meet. Lets get a place and date hammered down, it would work best for most people if it was put a few months out from now, a 4 hour ride to the meet would kinds suck on the way home if it got cold. "And I might be down if anyone wants to ride up from around philly." I would ride with you, but I am little north of you right now.

ORIGINAL: jfunkRR Big Macs suck. + 1, NOW GET ME MY WHOPPER!!! I think the l2nd sunday in june is good. Id rather just get food while were there somewhere. I hate carrying luggage with me. So much easier to travel with nothing but some cash. All we need now is a good place to meet that we can set in stone. Im gonna do some web searching and see what i can come up with. I mentioned bear Mountain first cause the roads up there (or down for some ) are perfect. The first place i wanted to meet at is a Mobil station (easy to get to) that usually has anywhere from 30-75 sportbikes. there is Clean bathrooms, a dunkin donuts and small convenience store/deli there. The police Do not bother anyone for sitting in the lot. it is a well known meeting spot at the begining of the good twisties. We could set a time to meet there and alow an hour or so for the stragglers to show up late. Afterwards there is a nice twistie ride to harriman state park where we could sit back relax & bullchit.

thats all good.. ill try and find something as well.. i was thinking the catskills bc there were alot of good roads reccomended on motorcycleroads.us and it cuts about an hr or 2 off of the drive for the northern CT VT and MA people. as far as a bbq goes its just a term us in oklahoma use for get some damn food. no offense NY but im not letting my bike within 1 hr of NYC.. something about the drivers and the cities surrounding NYC that makes me nervouse/disgusted.. its like the nasty crust of NYC.. disgusting untill you get to the city and make it through the tunnel.. then its all game from there. ie they all look like they dont have insurance and dont know how to drive.

^^ Lmao, I guess not everyone can hack up to the NYC drivers (espeacialy the cabbys) Superbikes NYC, They start from here at Astoria Park http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dtHJHrA_MUY&feature=related But bear Mountain is in no way compareable to the 5 boroughs. Either way im ready to meet wherever, If i have to leave a little earlier and go a lil farther for 1 or 2 more guys/gals to make it, Im Game... name the Spot... Heres a few vids of me last year up there. The bridge you see is the Bear Mountain bridge This Video is from the Bear Mountain bridge to the Mobil http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TiCvoWh-59s This video the camera is on my bike and we just left the mobil station and are heading to Harriman St park via the bear mountain Bridge (we go into the park right after the bridge) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkG1jEnt-y0 This last one we start going Through harriman St park then im not sure where we were (the rd you see at the light in the very beginning is one entrance to the park http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MN-5oEIIa0 PS Sorry for the S*tty Music, Its from youtubes choices cause i lost sound when i uploaded them

OK here is a map to Catskill Pizza in Woodstock, NY, seems like a good meeting point. (very central) Distances: Ithaca (me) 3 1/2hrs NYC (erion) 2hrs Springfield, MA (a few of you) 2 hrs Boston, MA 3 1/2hrs Philly, 3 1/2 hrs heres the map.. as long as this works for everyone.. there is no shortage of pretty twisties in the Catskill.. dont like the twisties? lots of scenic overviews as well. http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?latlongtype=internal&addtohistory=&latitude=twpNfD5%2bCYTleqQ90Lv8%2fA%3d%3d&longitude=K%2ftEs1kov6Y4Mi5F41b%2fRA%3d%3d&name=Catskill%20Mountain%20Pizza%20Co&country=US&address=15%20Rock%20City%20Rd&city=Woodstock&state=NY&zipcode=12498&phone=845%2d679%2d7969&spurl=0&&q=restaurants&qc=%28All%29%20Restaurants Let me know guys.. Bear Mtn, just adds over a hr each way to an already 3.5hr drive.. was hoping maybe some of you NYC and Philly guys can split the difference with us (northerners). Let me know, glad this is picking up steam.
