Well, LED gear have just replied to my e-mail, saying they don't make a switch for the Hondas as the neutral switch is a "pin type" ( whatever that means) and they can't replace it with an LED switch, so it's back to square one.......Maybe just put red dots on the rev counter........., or learn to count, as Trips says. Ah, well, back to the Playstation, JB........or buy an FJR........ rather walk, thanks.........

ORIGINAL: Shadow1 Sorry, don't understand the significance of FJR1300A, TBT,apart from it being a fairly good Yamaha with a 5 speed box. Your levity is lost on me this time. I forgot the "E" as in FJR1300AE (automaitc shift). Sorry! Sorry for the mistake and sorry for the bashing.

there is one way you ca count with out actually counting... ive noticed on my 88 that at about 6th gear doing 65 mph is 4k rpms...jsut kidna run it from there... just do a common number when you hit 6th...i dont think about what gear i am, i just look down at the rpms and it registers without me actaully thinking about it.

I was just checking out meatpopsicle custom-built CBR, and it appears to have a shift indicator in it instrument cluster if it is functioning and not just for looks, whomever is interested in one should maybe contact him by PM or e-mail and ask. I personally am with trips on this one

I checked it out - won't work on my bike - I e-mailed them. Thanks anyway Hardcorp With the new voltmeter I've got more instrumentation than a Boeing, so I won't be pursuing this. 6th gear at 100MPH is 6000 RPM, and at 85 MPH its 5300, and I'll work from there. Don't travel much below that (believe it or not) Which one are you with Trips on, Gunny ? The s...t stirring bit or the helpful bit ? he he "Anger is the wind that blows out the lamp of the mind"
