Hey blue, have you responded to the "you know you love your bike when" thread? If you haven't I got one for ya... Bluefox knows he loves his bike when he takes 1500 pictures of it! hahahaha. Not hatin, just impressed with how much pride you have in your ride. Excuse me while I go throw my crappy 2.0 megapixel cam in the garbage. lol.

Ok so the bike doesn't come with red on the bottom part of the fairings, did you have that painted with the black part? Also looks like you have HID's, which kind? I love your bike, its so original and clean. Why do you still have stock exhaust?

ORIGINAL: camaro_forums Ok so the bike doesn't come with red on the bottom part of the fairings, did you have that painted with the black part? Also looks like you have HID's, which kind? I love your bike, its so original and clean. Didn't paint it, but I ordered the red lowers from an 08 model............here's the list of modifications done to date: $293.52 - Red lower fairings from 08 model $214.92 - Black uppper front fairing from 07 model $ 47.62 - Red OEM stripes applied to black upper fairing $ 49.24 - Powdercoated rearsets satin black. (bought a powdercoater ($189.99) & oven ($99.99)) $ 4.99 - Red Pinstriped wheels $ 31.50 - Yellow Dunlop appliqués applied to tires $ 8.99 - Sprayed subframe satin black $ 7.99 - Sprayed heatshield with 1500-degree black high-temp paint $ 0.00 - Sprayed heatshield cover & rear exhaust head shield covers satin black $ 86.78 - Lightning Performance Frame Sliders $ 78.85 - Honda OEM Tank Pad, Tail, Tank and knee pad appliqués $179.95 - Honda OEM Seat Cowl $248.00 - Rizoma Fender Eliminator $ 61.00 - Rizoma Black Grips $148.00 - Rizoma Zero Turn signals $ 30.00 - Watsen Running Light Modulators $ 95.00- 6000k Slim-ballast HID kit $100.00 - Had a shop repaint side fairings gloss black $272.66 - Dunlop Qualifier's still on the way to be installed $ 5.00 - Yellow Honda decal (for front windscreen) on the way $ 15.00 - Black Honda decal (for red lowers) on the way $ 8.56 - Ultra-thin silver pinstriping on the way (for a future mod, possibly tomorrow) Total (so far)...........$1987.57 So needless to say, the transformation wasn't exactly "cheap", but the insurance settlement paid for most of it. Not to mention......... $289.00 - HJC AC-12 Helmet $268.00 - Shift Streetfighter Hybrid Jacket $ 99.00 - Joe Rocket Honda Superbike Gloves So yeah, when someone says motorcycles aren't a money pit............tell them to go f**k themselves. quote:
Why do you still have stock exhaust? Because I can't honestly bring myself to pay $500-ish dollars to make it sound differently.......then have to buy a power commander for another couple hundred to get the most out of it, THEN have to worry that it won't look good/fit with my $250 Rizoma FE. Not to mention, I haven't heard any exhausts that I have fallen in love with yet. Akrapovic sounds the best to me so far, but I still haven't found that really deep-toned, aggressive Ducati-ish sound I've been waiting for. So until then, no overly-loud buzzy-cans for me. AND Laguna Seca has a decibel limit at their track..........so nothing over stock is allowed. (for trackdays and raceschools anyway). And since I'm signed up for classes with my bike for the next 2 years, a slipon really wouldn't work for me. Not against exhausts or anything, but they're just not for me.
