I'd like to say I have 200 hp... and that I'm a mystical mongoose that rides a full Moto GP bike. However... this isn't truth.

Other than what the claimed HP is from the factory... I've got no idea. I ALSO don't believe most people that claim HP figures withough posting Dyno charts... sooo....

I wanna see em!

i have an 07, full Evolution system, pcIII, abd bmc race air filter.  mine dynoed at 95hp stock, then,,,,,i just realized my math was screwed. i only gained 7-9hp, so im now at 102-104?????  i was very disapointed in the stock numbers.  i think they should post slightly lower numbers in the magazines rather than these bullshit numbers.

Im pretty confident an 04 600rr doesnt go even close to 178. Thats what your speedo might read but i think it only tops out at around 160

My 07 only did 176 up on stands with stock gearing and stock map... 178 is a lot for an older bike. If you got a freak though, then more power to you, no pun intended. Also boys, its not all just power, its power/weight ratio. I read a stat somewhere that it takes something like seven additional horsepower to move 1000lbs of mass one additional mph over 100 mph. Dont hold me to that, but even if im anywhere close to correct, it shows that power to weight has a lot to do with it. You wanna go fast, get some wheels or get on the tredmil, you will feel much greater gains from weight loss then you will +hp from a slip-on.

Here is an interesting stat I do know for a fact is true, and its cool. Im sure you are all familiar with the bugatti veryon. It tops out at 242mph and produces 1001 hp under full load. Its engine works in stages though. So when it was tested on the autobahn, it needed only 302 hp to propel the vehicle to 180 mph. it took the additional 699 hp to make the car go the additional 62 mph to reach its top velocity. You can youtube this, I think topgear did it. Interesting right?

is this a joke or are you really that dumb... first off 118hp..  semi close to real with a full exhuast system and a custom tune and more mods then that.. also 178mph.. ya maybe on a dyno but not in the real world and either way 178 on the speedo is not true anywayz, i topped mine out at about 160 on the highway so
