Since it only holds a few gallons, why not give her the best?

I was told by a mechanic that Down here in AZ and CA specfically there are alot of extra additives into 92 octane gas that for the little power u get are really bad for the carbs.  Dont know if there was any truth to it but i ahbe been running 87 for a bit now and notice no change.

I agree with you crazyhorse, it does not hold much so use the best. Thats what I use. 93 helps clean the crap out of the carbs and carbon out of the engine cause it burns hotter and faster. I always run 93 in both my cars and my bike. In my opinion the cheaper crap helps create the just in the injectors and on top of pistons and what not.

i usually run the highest ive found in any bike i have ever ridden. down here in texas i have only found 93 to be the highest but back in ohio at a certain gas station a few years back sold 103. that made the bike run good but really hot. cleaned the valves pretty good. lol

My 3rd world gas comes in at an astounding $3.42 a gallon of 91..

95 (not a typo, thank you kindly) is $3.67 right now..  It doesnt make my bikes or cars run any better..

Theres about to be a third 900rr when i get back from afghanistan in july.

From what ive been told about the gas is that lower octane gas actually creates more horsepower than higher octane gas. and that u wont notice much differnce between the two, higher octane gas has more of an effect on cars because they have the knock sensors. Some one on this site told  me about that a while back. i cant remember who it was though.
