Dude I actually shivered a little when I read that! Really sucks to hear about you and the bike, I am certainly glad your in one piece and hopefully there is no structural damage to your bike! I got the same sick feeling in my gut reading about your lay down that I got when I heard my bike hit the ground several weeks ago. Awefull feeling seeing you bike on the side, even worse when you pick her up and see the damage! Take your time and heal up good, then get to wrenching on your bike. I just got mine back out on the road this weekend and seeing my baby all apart for all the time was a killer but it was all worth the work when I backed her out of the garage for the first time with that shiney fresh paint. Good Luck!

Thanks Guys!
I am able to move a bit better now...still gets sore if I'm up for too long.
I'm really glad that it's not really worse than it is...for me and the bike. Spring is around the corner and I'll be ready.
All of you be safe.
Ron

Back protector in the future.

Glad you are healing up and yes, the bike is only a machine.   Your body is irreplaceable.

i know we sound like nagging moms but...dont be in a rush to jump back on...take the extra time to heal ur back. the more it heals the less issues u'll have in the future. just grab a couple of moto gp games/movies/ and magazine....kick back and relax. sorry to hear about ur incident.

You kept that bike in showroom condition for more than 15 years! That is nothing short of amazing!

I bought my first new bike last year and had it one week before someone backed into it in a parking lot.

I am just saying that you should be very proud despite how bad you might feel right now. I would trust you with my bike any day!
