YEP!
She's no longer showroom condition...I was leaving work lastTuesday evening, took a turn too fast down by my work(@25-30mph), next thing I knew I was in a lowside... I was actually on the bike sliding on the left side, hit the curb, and slingshotted me off to about 25 feet away... I couldn't stand after I hit the pavement...Luckily a coworker came around the corner about half a minute after I crashed. He lifted the bike and set it upright...I finally got back on the bike after 15 mins. and rode her back home.
I fractured my L-1 vertibrae and scraped up my knee. I'm taking two weeks of vacation to heal up. I got a couple scratches on the Shoei, but still very usable.
The bikes rear frame is tweeked to the right a bit.
This ALL WAS MY OWN FAULT!
I knew to never to take a corner on cold tires and was probably going too fast for the conditions.
Let this be my mistake for all of you to learn.
Ron

Sorry bout the luck. Hopefully it wasn't too painful. Get her fixed and get back up. Thanks for the heads up. I was out today (35*) and this kind of reminder is important.

Ron,

Sorry to hear about your accident. Concentrate on mending your body. Remember to listen to the Docs and not push it. The back is a sensative area.

That SUCKS!  for you to be hurt and that awesome bike to be dinged.

Ditto on all that these guys have said.  You must take care of you first and the bike second.  No surgery in your future I hope.  Take it slow and easy and listen to the docs.  Take care brother and remember you still have all summer and fall to ride, no need to rush.

Glad you didnt get hurt any worse.

You should have done my pillow idea... I hope you feel better though man, and for the bike nothing a little TLC and possibly a new crank case cover can't fix.
