ORIGINAL: Silver Wing 06 true he did say what was the best slip-on, but did he say what slip-on will yeild the best power results? and i have seen no dyno runs posted back to back on the same dyno with the results showing any pipe to be better then any other pipe? "they say i should see a 8 HP gain." ok so if i say it then i am some squid who knows nothing, but let a website say it and its fact? i say it is more the tuner of the bike then a slip-on. you can have a high end slip-on with a power commander and filters, but with a "bad" custom map it will. or you can have a "squid" slip-on as i have been told i bought, with the same set up done by a better tuner, and end up with higher numbers. who cares what slip-on you buy get the one you like. thats what i did. guess that makes me a "squid" post on other cbr sites such as www.1000rr.net and you may learn something other than what you read here- putting a junk pipe on a new 06/07 cbr makes as much sense as putting cherry bombs on a z06 vette

In accordance to what your saying; you would put the cherry bomb on the Z06 if it made more power than a nicer looking muffler. There a difference between show and go. The Jardine is the best "show" muffler period. If your looking to wring every last HP out of your bike then yes go with your setup. In your point of view, the muffler is better because it make more HP, in the other its because it looks better. What makes me laught is that many of the people on here are a bunch of dyno queens. Just because a muffler make 8 more "peak" Hp dies nto mean it will make the bike the fastest. I may be newer to bikes but I have been racing cars for almost 17 years and I can tell you that the highest peak HP numbers don't win a race generally, The orginal thread started should have stated what he is looking to achieve. Until that time, this argument is irrevelent.

Love the fit and finish of my Akrapovic Carbon hex sounds great also. If you want the best hp you would buy a full system not a slipon. If you like the sound and look thats all a slip on is.

a f-in cherry bomb will not make more power than say a corsa-if i was a dyno queen- i have a full system for peak numbers- went arata s-o as a good s-o will have more low to mid than a good full which sacrifices that area for top numbers and lightness-to put the quality of a jardine on par with a sato- akro-arata is a farce-i've installed and listened to a pignose on a 07-even thes packing is inferior0 it is a ok s-o for 450$ but for that money a fmf is better built

Having read just about every thread on slip-ons, I still have one question: Which one has the deepest tone - money and HP being irrelevant?

I have the Two Brothers Ti and it is a bit loud and sticks out a bit from the end but this feature helps keep the hot exhaust gases from melting your tail light lens or least form turning it a ugly shade of brown. just my 2 cents! I have to admit I am a 2 Brothers fan for the last 3 three bikes so keep that in mind!

I have a Yoshimura RS-5 on my cbr 1000. I don't think I like it a whole lot. I have to admit, it was a mistake getting that pipe. Riding was better with a stock pipe on compared to this one. I have heard a lot of good stuff about Arata and Two Brothers pipes. If I had a choice now, it would be a tie between Arata and Two Bros, and then Akrapovic.

For the Two Bro's. Did you need to put a power comander on for the slip on?

MY sato is real deep and loud. the way a 1000rr should sound. it drowns out my buddies 636 to the point you can't even tell it is running when the are sitting next to each other. I am sure it agers other motorist when i scream by them on the highway.
