I found a 01 f4i with unknown miles because the odo is busted when it was dropped. It needs a front upper fairing and the odo. The bike was checked and all the frame is straight. The lights and all that good stuff are good, and the rest of the fairings are good and the bike is a salvage title. asking 2900 but may go lower. Lemme know what you guys think since i know not to much on the honda side of things. Thanks

$2900 doesnt sound bad at all, but if you can get em lower go for it.

i think 2900 is too high personally
you can probably find a clean titled, slightly rashed F4i for a little over 3k

2k is good but not anymore, i can find wrecked one around here for that price and since the odo is busted check out the forks to make sure there not bent or anything. if shes able to ride take her out and make sure she goes in a strait line without having to have the handles anywhere other than forward

no. nothing is too low to offer, just b/c he can always counter offer.
it just depends on how youve acted around him. if youve acted like its awesome and you cant wait to get it, he may be a little reluctant to give inthat much, but if you can act kinda weary of it... and mention how you dont know if you should get a salvaged bike and all that you may want to offer 2k and be willing to get it for 2300 or so.
or you may get lucky and he says ok. but yea id probably start with 2k, and see how low you can work him
but be willing to walk away... like i said i know you can find a clean titled bike for a little more than 3k.
unless you cant spend that much period, and you only have around 2k or somethin.

the bikes known to have straight everything just busted up plastics and the odo, and yeah i can walk away, i drove about a hour and half and talked to the guy for like 5 min before i left without sayin much, but i made the offer tonight, we'll just have to wait to see what he says, and if i need to ill just street fighter it to get it inspected, plastics are the least of my problems, he told me for 100 i can get the cluster he has layin around, which isnt bad seein how i can only see em online for like 250

salvage title for a busted front fairing and no odometer?

thats odd.

anyways, i wrecked my f4i, called the sherrif but he was cool and didnt report it so my title is still clean..but its gonna be 100% repaired with upgraded parts and im hoping to get 3,000 out of it

seems very high.

well yeah..but aside the point i think me asking 3k for a fixed one seems high..(even tho the title is good and you wouldnt be able to tell) but im an honest person and im going to tell people it has been wrecked once.

ya after what someoen else said, salvaged title for busted plastics and odo. liek i said before you pay him drive it if he will let you, u dont want to make a 2k mistake and have to replace bent forks or anything. things can look strait by eye but diff when u drive it.
