how much plastic are on these bikes? are they easy to come off?

I'm just asking so if I find a used bike, but not the right color, i can take the plastic off and paint it

i'm sure the painting would be easy, i know some people who paint cars alot

hey guys,

well i might have a buyer for one of my cars that I own, which would give me the cash to buy either a new '06, or get a used one.

I guess as with anything, buying the new one you it wasn't beaten on, but at the same time you get that huge depreciation drop soon as you roll off the lot. Remember, i get about 10% off...i think lol

used, well its cheaper, could have been beaten on

i'm still not 100% on the bike. I'm taking the state offered saftey course in a few months (if i can get in). before i buy anything.

for those who say the bike is too much, isn't it all about self control and taking things slow? I mean i don't really plan on flying around like a bat out of hell on the thing...i just want something sharp looking

any suggestions would be good, thanks for the help guys and gals

$7800 for a 2 year old 600 is WAY too high. an argument could be made that if the gear is top of the line, it could save you a grand. but if its the wrong sizes or you don't like it then it doesn't matter what its worth. much better deals are out there.

Welcome.....10% is all you get??, Hopefully that is an additional 10% off of your best deal at the dealer....I got darn near 10% off MSRP on my 05 1000-RR 11,200 for 10,100 + tax, no prep/freight/setup....

If this is your first bike EVER, go with used and nothing bigger than a 600cc plus get enrolled in a Motorcycle safety course to learn the road-rules...hell they even supply the bike for you

Enjoy...whatever you decide

a guy at work has for sale a 2005 Suzuki SV650, 3,*** miles

asking $4500

he said rear fender delete, might have been a couple of other things...it was on the "for sale" board at work

opinions?

A friend of mine has one of those. I am not a real fan of it, like my Honda a lot more. Doesn't seem like that bad of a price.

STICK WITH A HONDA WOULD BE MY ADVICE. PERSONAL OPINION OF COURSE. THOSE SV'S LOOK AWEFUL TO ME. HMMMMM I WONDER HOW MANY SV650 FORUMS THERE ARE.
ALTHOUGH IF IT WERE ANYTHING OTHER THAN HONDA I'D RIDE A SUZUKI. GO SIT ON SOME BIKE. ROCK THEM BACK AND FORTH AND SEE WHAT YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE ON. ONLY YOU CAN DECIDE WHAT IS ENOUGH AND WHAT IS TOO MUCH BIKE.

i'm 24 years old and married, and i was looking at a '06 600rr and the cheapest insurance i found was progressive, $1,600 per year. that was higher than what my monthly payment was going to be, if you have never ridden practice on something cheap because chances are you will drop it at some point. i know i did. and new plastics are very expensive
