my 954 sits alittle lower than all the ones i seen and it looks like some one turned that little thing right ontop of the yellow spring under the seat... can that lower and raise the bike?

Is it when you are sittin on it? Cause if so then its just your weight, not to call you a fat ass but you can tighten or loosen the shock to your liking. Just my 2 cents but im not sure.

i weigh 188 and the bike is lower even when im off it.. even if i pull it off the kick stand to have it standing stright it looks a lil lower than my freinds 954's

Have you looked to see if it is possibly lowered? I mean if you bought it from an individual then they our anybody for that matter could have put a lowering link on it.

Then im stumped. I noticed that my brothers gxr is lower than my friends gsxr and the the same size and year but one is about 1inch lower

Mine is the same way, my dad and i both have 2002 954s, but for some reason side by side, mine looks like its lower. All suspension parts appear to be stock, and we measured averything, and according to the measurments theyre the same. Mine seems to handle better as well...

Not that it would be a big difference but a little of it could be the profile of tire your running on.

there could be more then one reason why is that so! is ur shock two soft? if so tighten it up, if that does not work, you could raise your bike by turning the yellow shock, u have those holes on the bottom of the schock, but u have to have that special wrench like looking tool to move it....
