well I have been trying all of these helmets on for quite some time now and I have found that the arai astral fits my head the best. I like some of the shoei designs better, but the fit on the arai astral is the best. Now I just have to pick a design and make the purchase.

Thanks for all the input...

Hey, its my head...You can't put a price on that.

I have tried on the Arai and it seemed to fit good. The problem that I keep running into is all the local shops don't have my size (small).

Sure design is a factor, but for me it is safety first....

Thanks for the reply NINE2NINE

That is the only helmet that goes on my head! I went down wearing my Arai okada. I'll post some pics of my "bike" and helmet. Best money I ever spent!!!

I am looking at the suomy as well. They have some cool paint jobs. I have an RX-7 Arai (Colin Edwards yellow one) and it fits pretty well but since reading that article in Motorcyclist about how more expensive helmets are not nessecarily better I am rethinking my position on ARAI as being the ELITE of helmets. If we were to take that study done in the Magazine then the best (meaning safest) helmets would be those cheapy ones that only meet the DOT standard. (If you don't which article I am talking about GOOGLE "Blowing the lid off helmets") I don't believe that this makes ARAI helmets crappy I am just wondering if they are worth all that money. I am wanting to buy another helmet but now I am unsure of which is the safest.
