mike, im a peaceful man but i understand what youre saying. i would never bash someone like the wheelie guy...i would try to steer him in the right direction. now, if the wheelie guy gets arrogant and insulting to those trying to help, then we have a different story.

metalhedd....chill, listen and communicate civilly with others and all's under the bridge. ill even give you my vin when i get home from work.

BigMike0147 -> RE: Erion CBR900RE Serials (3/25/2008 11:32:53 AM)

THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN ABOUT!!  [:D]  I just hate to see such a friendly forum (like this one) even APPEAR to be anything like that.  Even when the only time it becomes questionable seems justified.

MetalHedd -> RE: Erion CBR900RE Serials (3/25/2008 11:48:36 AM)

BigMike, thanks for trying to squash things. As you can see, it aint gonna work bro. I came in with 2 perfectly good posts about MY new bike and introduced myself and wanted to add my opinion on chroming to the "to chrome or not to chrome" thread. I got a lot of positive feedback and some "welcome to the forum" replys. That lasted for a couple of days before the two thread-jackin haters came out. Now, it's like their stalkin me wherever I go on this site. Go look after EVERY single one one of my posts.

I really don't know why Nibb and DJ keep this sh!t goin from thread to thread?? I get it, I'm new here! I've been on plenty of forums and I've never had this many problems. Of course I've never had this nice of a bike either, but that's neither here nor there lol. Those two have been here a little over a year and should know the forum rules by now. Most mods woulda caught this crap by now and put a stop to it. I've already tried, but again it continues...

People post pictures of their bike all over this place. I post a picture of my chromed and polished Erion in the thread about chroming and I get Nibb tellin me it's not a TRUE Erion because it "lacks a black frame" and askin me if it's a "kit bike". WTF?? Is that how you welcome a new member?? You don't diss anybody's bike and expect them not to take it personal. It's like dissin somebody's girl... you just don't do it. Some things are better off just kept to yourself.

So I reponded it is most certainly a "true" Erion and explained why because it seemed he didn't know how to spot a copy. I explained about the plastics, the VIN, the white spring that were Erion-only items. How the white spring became such a problem, I do not know. Other members have posted up that they too have the white sping. However, since Nibb and DJ obviously don't they deny that a white spring ever existed. How bout all the white Erion 929 shocks on eBay and on other Erions? How do these exist they say and why don't we have one?? Go read their posts in the chroming thread. Not to mention why are you asking those questions in THAT thread?? NEW Topic = NEW Thread... and that's how forums work.

Then I went on to the topic of VINs, but not the whole VIN as it's been pointed out that people can do things with your VIN. However, it seems that nobody ever had an answer as to what bad stuff could be done. Just more here-say I guess. To still keep it safe tho, I told people just to post the LAST 6 digits which is the serial as well as the MONTH of manufacture. Then we wanted to verify that the SC443 is an Erion model scheme. Mines the SC443 ... 100112 produced on 9/00. I just finally checked it on Easter cuz it's in storage and we finally got some decent weather here. For some reason Nibb keeps thinkin my first example is my serial number. If he actually read the posts, he would see that I never said that was mine. So he assumed and you know how that goes. Hopefully this stops you from asking that question in every post now.

So I guess this is how things are gonna be around here. I post. These two follow me around pickin apart every word I say. I don't stand down. They get angrier. Everybody else get's to read the bullsh!t. Oh well I can deal because I actually have a REAL life outside of this forum. Chrom may not get me home, but at least the chrome still gets me the hotties and the vagine hahaha!

BigMike0147 -> RE: Erion CBR900RE Serials (3/25/2008 12:09:43 PM)

Well, enough said on this subject, lol, MOVIN ON!!!

Chad4000 -> RE: Erion CBR900RE Serials (3/25/2008 12:44:59 PM)

i didnt think it had anything to do with the year but i guess it could. I was just told that by somebody.

i asked this once about all the "limited" additions. how many "champion" r6s and r1? (those were number plated I believe). how many repsols? etc

it has to be a percentage of overall production I would think.

MetalHedd -> RE: Erion CBR900RE Serials (3/25/2008 1:17:36 PM)

If you guys wanna chit-chat off topic, do it in a PM or exchange phone numbers!

Just to reiterate for those who may have wandered in after the thread went astray...

*The topic is Erion CBR900RE Serial #'s and production months.*

Lord Jersey -> RE: Erion CBR900RE Serials (3/25/2008 3:53:19 PM)

I am glad that we are trying to move past the arguments and stay ON topic. No one likes to have thier threads jacked for other topics. Come on guys too much anger and hate around here. We are a family. Let's keep things peaceful.

bignibb -> RE: Erion CBR900RE Serials (3/25/2008 4:10:03 PM)

wow, i supose one reason it wont stop is if you call people "tread jacking haters"

and now im stalking this guy..... lol

it must be all the chrome, everytime i see it it just draw me to post.lol

actually i dont think i have said anything personally against this guy and as far as asking if it was a kit bike, that was just a valid question!
it wouldnt have been the first time someone put ERION plastics on a non-Erion bike but i guess he took it personal instead of just saying no its an actually erion says so on the vin too but hey i guess that was'nt how he wanted to respond.

and my personal opinion on whether you should chome or polish a black erion frame is my personal opinion, he doesnt have to agree with it, i just think that if one was to pay the extra for the black frame and plastics and then paint over the sheme and chrome the frame and swingarm, they could of got a regular 929 or even a non repsol 1000rr for that matter but i havnt come across one of those that way yet but im sure its out there some where.

and as far as the white shock.......... well mine doesnt, its a Erion and that was that.  he says that it a erion only item, it has been a known fact that the spring and shock fail pre-maturely and are often replaced, it has been stated the the replacement has a white spring, it has been stated than non Erion owners have white springs as well, he also makes reference to all they white Erion only springs on ebay (i guess they are not that rare then)

and he goes on to say that maybe a new thread should of been started, well this may be true but i know that some times its best just to keep the bull $%^& localized and not clutter up the foum with useless new post.

and now onto this whole how limited is the limited! great idea< i have been dieing to know myself and he has this great idea about give me you VIN, i mean just the last six number and year?  who is this guy first of all but i justed pointed out that it seemed a a lil hokie but i still gave this (person) all the information he asked for matter of fact i gave him mine before he even put his on the post.  he's right about one thing though, i did assume that the example he put up was his after he posted it twice after i questioned his ligitimateness and maybe said that this isnt my real VIN number and this is it which makes my bike one of the first,then maybe i wouldnt of questioned how can you claim that so perfusely, who would of thought that a person asking for your VIN wouldnt actually put his up to prove he was'nt a lieing fake vin sticker making loser and placing them on stolen bike and generating fake titles and ripping people off!

who would of thought?

and now after all this time we get the it is in storage and this my vin and year info? WTF

i dont know what this guys real issue is, maybe he wants to be hated or maybe he needs his ego stroked or something but i really could careless about him so idefinately dont hate him.

and last but least i know you all on here love me still[sm=happybounce.gif]so i guess what one person thinks isnt that important.

oh i guess the to chrome or not to chrome tread died anyways.

MetalHedd -> RE: Erion CBR900RE Serials (3/25/2008 7:30:58 PM)

Last time... I don't want your whole VIN. Read the first post.

The internet is great because it encompasses a vast amount of information that can be used for good. Unfortunately it can also be used for bad. How you use it is a direct indication of your moral compass. I'm using the info I gather for good research. In fact just like everyone else, I generally am good person unless you rub me the wrong way. Very few people do, but there's always those few you gotta deal with I guess... and I do.

As far as VINs go, let me clear somethin up. Anybody can make a VIN outta thin air. Look...
JH2SC44301M100001    --> Wow! It's the 1st Erion 929 ever made.

Dood you gotta be kiddin me if you think a shady VIN-stealin thief doesn't already know this. I'm kinda happy my frame is polished now (not chromed) cuz the VIN sticker was moved to the trunk where no one can see it. This is however, why they have public notaries, titles, and registrations. If you buy a bike off a shady individual without checkin its history, then your laziness is gonna get you taken. That's just common sense for people out there buyin bikes second-hand for rock bottom prices. Check into the title, original owner and VIN history. Caveat Emptor!

So basically, I'm just here to share the knowledge and talk about a bike that I like and happen to own. Anybody lookin for a fight can go get up some other new member's a$$ once they leave the new member area and start postin with the big boys. Personally, I almost hate comin back to this part of the forum now for information. I guess if there's ultimately more good members than bad, I'll keep comin back.

bignibb -> RE: Erion CBR900RE Serials (3/25/2008 8:33:33 PM)

fine patrick, ill stop picking on you because your new and because I'm jealous of your bike. I will try to keep my senseless hating in check!

MetalHedd -> RE: Erion CBR900RE Serials (3/25/2008 9:23:06 PM)

I can sense the slight sarcasm Nibb, but I'll take that as an apology. Water under the bridge.

Sooooo... does anybody really know how limited the Erion 929 might be?
I thought ~2000 was a pretty good estimate, but I guess other people have different info. Could be 5000, only Honda knows! Counting the 190 that went to the Aussies, that'd be about 30-40 per state as you have to factor in Canada or states where you don't see as many of these kinda bikes like Alaska and Maine. Also a fair share of them have been stunted or wrecked so it could even be less. All I know is I've only seen 1 other Erion in NE Ohio. I see a ton of all the other colors so that alone suggests some limited availability. That said, I guess we could use this thread (or maybe even start a new one now) for anyone that has any questions like these about this model.

So far LJ is in the lead with 101930. Anybody higher?

bignibb -> RE: Erion CBR900RE Serials (4/3/2008 1:36:34 PM)
