This is WAY TOO FUNNY!!!  I have done the exact same thing!!  I dropped my key once and it went in between the tank and airbox.  Had to have my Bro bring down some tools.  I was in the process of removing the tank when cop showed up.  Told him the story and showed the license and registration scenario.  But seeing you guys pick up the bike to get the key to fall forward is a classic!
