Is ~136rwhp about the norm for these bikes with PCIIIr and a full exhaust?

What torque are you putting down?

I can't really say what the norm is and I had I'd dynoed not tuned at a harley place so he didn't have the equipment to give me my torque reading but I'm planning on getting it re-dynoed once I get my serial port adapter so I can play with some 929 maps.

you can load 929 maps into a 954 pc3 just fyi.

ok i dont know if you have gotten this far yet because the post went stale for a while but you have to copy the 929 values into a 954 map.

because when i tried to load a 929 map straight into the 954 power commander it said that they were not compatable.

so i copied the 929 map number and pasted them into a 954 zero map and saved the valuse and then loaded the map. presto it worked fine.

the biggest difference i think is that the 954 seems to have a slightly larger rev range than the 929 but you can just leave the extra rpms with 0 in them and that works fine.

i road the bike today and with the proper 929 map in it felt like it had more power and more get up but ill have to redyno it to be sure.

i have question that is related to this post on power commander so i figured id piggy back it on this post seeing that is was related and not start a new one.

i have been compairing maps for the 929 and 954 snd i see that the 954's have -'s alot in the fuel so im guessing that they  must be running richer than the 929 from the factory and it looks to me that in order to make more power with the power commander they have to pull more fuel out at certain rpms.

is this assumption correct or am i just way off?  and if you were to run a 954 map in a 929 it would possibly make less power than it would with the corresponding 929 map because the 954 map would be pull more fuel out of the 929?

i hope thats right because my 929 will make more power once its re-dynoed.

idk, i would think that the 954 map would always add abit more fuel than the 929 because of the displacement. but i havent messed with either much.

well I'm guessing it is an aftermarket exhaust and I'm assuming it has a custom map and your not wanting to pay to have it retuned but all the things you stated are possibilities and you may not even notice any change in performance at all.

I don't think that it will cause your bike to fail on you and you can always ride it afterward and if it feels worse than before you can play with a map from the web site until you get it fixed but a lot of stunter cut down their pipes. that might a place to ask how their bikes ran after they cut them!

my 929 came with a power commander, how do I dowload new map on it, and is there anyway I can redo the map myself?  I am planning on getting wideband for the bike so I can tune it on my own.
