i will say that the under tail sucks on the 08.the tailamp, under pice are all intergrated in to one big ugly thing.something should be available soon, but man i bet its gonna be expensive.for the rest of the bike though the pics dont show the detail and just how buff these new honda"s are..tomorow i will  break her in on a nice 200  mile easter cruise...

CONGRATS on your new bike...  I do kinda like the color scheme, its out of the norm which makes it interesting...  But i too am not a big fan of the redesign...  Im still in LOVE with my angular lines of my '06...  Damn i love my bike...

Go look at this bike in person.  It will look better in person.  And if it still doesn't change your mind go ride one.  And if that still doesn't then let the paint and modding begin.

This thing looks so cool in the hanspree and repsol colors.  With the rear plastic storage container removed.  I almost want to get one don't want to trade in the current cbr and don't want to spend the extra $$$.

In all honesty I want to go and buy the new ninja 250 as a daily commuter bike that will get twice the gas mileage of my cbr ( 60 to 70 mpg compaired to 33 - 38 mpg )  the $4 a gal/ gas in coming.  And I won't be to worried about leaving it in the parking lot.  $3800 otd.  Not bad.  But at the same time I'm wondering if a cruiser is the way to go.  But there aren't any cruisers for around that price.

Congrats on the new bike.

where is the tail light? Is it on the mud flap or right under the backseat?

Whats the size compared to the older model? Saw a pic with the owner on it, and the bike looks SO small. Im 6'2"-6'3" and tend to make bikes look small.

They are definitely smaller. It is the entire point of the bike to be smaller, lighter, faster, and more powerful. I'm not a fan of the looks/color sceme, but I'm a big fan of the performance.

it is a little smaller but what makes the  feal is how it puts you on the bike,on the tank ready to rip...very agressive riding postion

LED Taillight is in the tailpiece, not the mudflap.  I saw an aftermarket replacement for the stock erector set gismo to clean up the back end at http://www.rg-racing.com/browseBike/Honda/CBR1000RR/2008/LP0063BK.aspx.  I'm sure there will be others.
