Have you not explored the possibility that the fuel pump simply went bad?

I know I've had two go out on me in my days.  One in my Mustang, and one in my Galant.  Both cases I simply went to start the car and nothing.  Fuel pumps don't indicate their going bad - they just go.

Is there anyway you can get another one to test it?  I've got a spare but you'd have to pay shipping to and fro, lol.

Just a suggestion that I hadn't seen explored.

OK, battery has 12.40v at the terminals. Headlights have 0v at the plugs, FP has 0v at the plug, tip over is bypassed and is getting voltage on the bypass side of the plug (so i know its working there)...Whatever it is, something is stopping voltage from getting to the FP plug, but at the same time is stopping my headlights from working..........Taillight, blinkers and horn work perfect...No high beam or low beam on headlights.....Gauges work also, but appears the LED's are pretty dim (dont seem bright like they use to be).....=-)

Still chasing.....Let me know of the ideas ya come up with. I'll check thiem as im going...=-)

Thanks

FP can go bad, i never doubted that. This is why i unplugged the FP and checked voltage at the connector (no voltage). Also IF i hardwrire the FP straight to the battery, the FP will kick on, bike turns over, but still no crank...So in this case we know its not the FP.......Sorry, im not trying to be a smartazz, IF thats what it sounded like....=-)

e more, where i can actually see things now...Green wire at the FP plug has a good connection to every point where it is suppose to connect. Also that green wire is the one that runs the tailight also. So since my taillight is working and brake light is working. Its safe to say the green wire is not a problem. IF there was an open or a short on the green wire, nothing on that wire would work because it would keep seeing the open or short (so scratch the green wire). HOwever, that still doesnt explain why my headlights do NOT work....Next up, Brown wire on the FP plug will turn into the Brown/Black wire at the fuel cut relay....I'm going test the connection from FP plug to that relay side and see what i get.....Since it clicks, i would say its "probably" good, but im going to check.............start/stop switch is next in line, but it looks good so far....=-)

Missed a huge factor in all of the searching. Test your headlight realy. Bad headlight relay=no power to the front of the bike and also engauges the kill engine relay and that is why it wont start.

VERY good point and you are correct i did miss that. I will go check that ASAP....On another note...Green wire at the FP plug has 12.40v (voltage meter black on FP plug and red on battery)...And it has that 12.40v even if the key is off or on (does that make sense). I can also disconnect the tip over senor and it still has that 12.40v........I swear im missing something realy simple around here....=-)

Ok tell me whats wrong here......The blue and grey plugs at the upper wiring harness, where it connects to the main harness.....On the MAIN harness side of the blue plug. Theres a green/grey wire that i know IF its cut, it'll trip the tip over sensor....Anyways, on that wire on the MAIN side of the plug, there is ONLY 12.40v when i touch the black of the multimeter to that wire and the red of the multi meter to the battery (does that sound right). And that is with the key off or on.....Did i miss something else....=-)

CHECK your kill switch again. I thought I had the same problem back in the day. It sounds stupid, but if everything else works, just flip the kill switch and see if the fuel pump comes back on. It took me like 15 min to figure out I needed to flip the kill switch one day. Sounds stupid- yet might be the simplest solution.

like Hcstreetriding stated, check that headlight relay!! jump it, sounds like it might be a bad ground cause of the cluster is dim, also check the ground connection under the the tank that's bolted to the frame, take it off and clean the conacts, and fire that bad boy up!
