I told you I was going to cry when I saw the pics . Hope the shoulder is okay. Looked like the gear helped out a bit. If you need a hand rebuilding the bike Im there. Take it easy.

Glad you had a helmet on- That would have really messed up your dome!
I actually hit a patch of gravel in a curve last week. I got very lucky and got out of it clean (minus 2-3 drops of pee in my pants)
I am glad your OK!

glad to hear you had your gear on, alot of people hear don't wear it. keep us informed about that shoulder man, it sounds like it could be out of socket or worse.

You know...you could have saved the helmet from damage by not wearing it.....though I think it took the damage better than you would've. Good to hear you were wearing your gear.

like all the others have said, good luck and get better - if you go to the clinic let us know what the outcome is. I assume your health insurance will cover most the cost of the x-ray (maybe $15-50 out of your pocket but well worth it for the piece of mind in my opinion)
and congrats on wearing your gear and walking away - hopefully your bad experience will help convince a "sometimes" gear wearer to ALWAYS wear their gear!

man, i am glad you're okay like everyone else said.....it's messed up, i remember when i posted about how to be careful with the season upon us, with blind corners, riding beyond our limits.....
let this be a notice to all newer riders, no matter how experienced you are, things can go south fast....so be careful (DWs not picking on you)....glad you got out of it okay and will be around to ride another day!!!

Glad you made it out ok man. Sorry about the bike. I know of a guy that hit a rail like you did and almost lost a leg. He was in the ICU for a few months.
