I beleive they are the stock valves, and the bike has 16,000 miles.  The noise is buzzing kinda sound......but only around 3,700-4,000 rpm, anything over or under and she sounds fine.

It might be a clipon or barend. mine always buzzes right before I lose a barend. anyone have a barend?

Check your head bearings before you dump 300 or more of your hard-earned dollars into a steering damper.

I've seen head shake once on my 929 and I know exactly why it happened.

You shouldn't be having a reoccurring issue with head shake unless something is wrong.

The buzz is likely a loose fairing bolt.  Go around and check for anything loose...even the mirrors and the black insert near the headers....check it all.

LOOSE FRONT FENDER BOLT!!!!

That was the noise!! 1 turn and the noise was gone!!  The head bearings seemed tight, and the front end seemed to check out fine.  The more i think about it, the more i think is was just me.  I'm upgrading from a 91 CBR 600 F2....a heavier slower bike.  I think the head shake is just me gettin used to a newer bike.

Thanks for all the help guys!!!!

The easiest way to know if the neck bearings are bad is to slowly turn the handle bars back and forth and if you hear a randoom tiny little clicking noise, there bad

I just started hearing it on mine and the bearings actually just came here today from Carolinacycle.com... Gonna be putting them in before sunday hopefully

This weekend is going to be in the 70's and no rain. I have the kids but I'll have to get the bike out in the drive and work on it and fix my buzz.  Thanks man!

The dampner will help but I had similiar problems. The front tire looked ok to me but after I replaced it month later the shake went away completly.

i'd double check thefront tire, make sure it's balanced first and not worn, check front-wheel for dings, warpage, runout. then, bearings.

even without damper, head-shake shouldn't be there.

not sure if un-even fork fluid levels could cause that. anyone?

Depends on what really, really bad is. I don't have a stab on mine and only got head shake a couple of times when hitting potholes or uneven pavement. I have set the front tire down at many different speeds and have never had shake issues. get the bike checked out.
