I'm wondering if a '98 900RR would make a decent streetfighter with a few mods.  I know little or nothing about stunting but want to get into it and have an opportunity to buy the above listed for about $2300 with some body damage but sound mechanics.  Just wondering if i should bother trying to make a SF out of it.

Thanks for the input,
Eric

Hey there BadLag, as far as I know tha '98 900R would make one of the best stunting streetfighters out there. It has awesome low down torque. To trully make it a stunt machine you wil have to change the rear sprocket as well to a larger one, (+ 4) sprockets, and maybe a smaller front sprocket (- 1), as the stock rear and front are geared for highway riding and safety measures. With the sprockets changed you will be lifting with hardly clutch in 1rd to 3rd, and maybe a little clutch in 4th gear.

LOL!!! Good eye joshua9853.

Probably wanted it air cooled. Maybe the rider is on the forum somewhere asking us why the temperature gauge is in the red after a 2 minute ride.

got into a tax $ bind so my progess stopped. radiator, mirrors, and gauges are still on the list. finally getting caught up so work will continue soon.  between the road salt and all the muddy driveways it wouldnt get out of the garage yet anyway.

Just a couple of more reasons why someone would make a SF out of a 900RR.

Enjoy!! I hope this motivates you to build your one.

nice pics, i'm lovin that gat comin out the back end...  well i just went and spoke with a local stunter i've seen around and met before and he said i could ride with him and his crew... kinda helps that i have a trade off that i can film them and make videos for 'em.

My work in progress. I lost interest in it early last summer and bought a 2005 Yamaha R1. I've picked up where I left off recently and it looks a little more complete than this. The pictures are from last summer.
