Does anyone know the average price of a custom map done by an authorized dyno place?

it depends on where you get it done and how long it takes, I think most harley dealerships that dyno tune bikes charge an initial rate and then hourly rate... i have to get mine done this summer as well. just depends on how long it takes in the end i guess

Around here it is 250.00 (all three shops around here charge the same). But they take as long as needed to get the map right.

Thats a good deal for 250. I would pay 500 as long as they took their time to get it right. I got my Ninja 250 tuned when I got the Muzzy system. I dont recall how much it was, but it was tuned for full throttle, so any crusing rpm had horrible lugging and lurching. The other thing was they diddnt even give me the whole contents of the jet kit I bought. Another thing is I hate it how they over estimate times for service and work, its annoying. Talk to the people who work in the shops to get a feel for who they are and how they work. Pay the extra if necessary to get it done right. It is a good thing to build a relationship with a good shop you can trust for work when you need it.
