Ok, so I got my brake reservoir in from P3 Racing, it was $25 or $20 shipped and I had it in two days. Part# if you are interested is 17-959. I had to use a longer bolt for the top collar of the m/c where it clamps down on the handlebars so that I could mount the reservoir there. I have a pic of that. You will notice that the hose is a hair short for the application as it's being pulled somewhat, I may get a longer one. FYI, the F4 brake lever won't match up with the 929/954 m/c, I already tried.

Anyways, the difference is real noticable compared to the stock m/c. The brakes engage a lot quicker now. I am very happy with it. Lever feels more like my brother's r6 with s/s lines. Total cost: $70.

I didn't know the cup had anything to do with it. I do like how the stock reservoir mounted low on the bar, but I will take the better m/c any day.

Obviously no clearance issues? And all you need for this is the cup, mount and longer bolt to make this work?

No clearance issues, dang close to touching but it doesn't. Don't need a mount as you can mount it to the m/c collar that goes around the handlebars.
Any other questions let me know.

Now if it would quit raining so I could ride I would happy!

And the brake lever for a 929 or 954 (those might be interchangeable) since the f4i brake lever will not fit

Gonna need a 929/954 master cylinder, cup assembly, and brake lever off a 929/954.  Also a 5-8mm longer bolt for mounting the reservoir cup on the collar on the m/c assembly.  My total cost was $70.

FYI, to rebuild the assembly is only $30, so even if you get a really used m/c you can get the kit and make it like new.

i'm finishing to mount it all today or tomorrow. guys primed the lever, i will paint it black to match and mount altogether. i'm using the whole m/c assy together with the stock bracket. the reservoir will be much higher than pictured, i will look what i can do with it to mount it lower. so far, no clearance issues with the whole assembly .
