so i am trying to set my valve clearences just tonight and cant seem to get the cap the covers the bolt to turn the engine out i know i need to to set the bike to tdc but i neec some advice on getting this cap off. thanks

are you talking about the sprocket cover?

it is held on by several bolts and could be hard to remove since there is a paper gasket if never been removed stuck and holding on. are you talking about the sprocket cover?

I think he's talking about the 30mm cap on the right crankcase cover, the one you need to remove in order to manually turn the engine. You only need to unbolt that cap (CCW), shouldn't be too hard unless someone used locktite on it.

yeah im talking about the cap i cant seem to get it off i dont know what size alen key to use.

you need a 10mm alen key
