How many people run from the cops when they try to pull you over?

I wouldn't admit to it on a public internet forum. I have, on at least one occasion, flipped them off.

+1 I`ve never run, but you can make yourself more difficult to see.

It all depends... if the cop is already on my ass with its lights on I would stop. But if they were going one way and u were going the other on a road and he pulled a U-turn to try and get you I probably wouldn't think twice.... As long as I am not in the city or by a lot of traffic. But around here its pretty open out in the sticks. I make sure the cop knows I see him and that I am not going to stop. Then they will give up. But have I ever done it.... of course not silly.

My thoughts are the same if he is already following you then i would stop, but if he is sitting and i am passing at 70+ or if he is headed the other way and pulls a U'ey I'm gone.

I always stop. I got pulled over doing over 130mph on the freeway and the state boy let me go without a ticket because I didn't run. What are the chances that would happin again?

just today, I was goin a lil over limit, and i saw two h.p. on an exit, a little too late... i let off at first, but then decided that if i could not see the lights when they started flashing then i was not really evading...just avoiding a potentially costly confrontation...

running is not a smart thing. i never would. a cop does not even need to radar you to give you a ticket. they can make a estamate and it will hold up in court. just remember 20 mph over and you get a reckless driving, and in my state that means you go to jail. i have seen it happen alot. many people speed up once the cop goes bye. well not a smart thing. to each there own. if you want to chance it.

Knock on wood, haven't been pulled over. Never would run though. Seen to many shows with motorcycle riders that try to out run cops and then end up dead or really hurt. Just think it is dumb to run.

Only got pulled over once on the bike and when I noticed him it was too late. But I would pull over with my job it would not look good if I were to run and get caught.

I'm with Seabee on this one... In my line of work it's much more costly to try and evade, even when I know the countryside very well. The two times I've been busted for speeding, I just pulled right over as soon as I saw the police, hung my head, was very polite, and apologized profusely. One was for 97 in a 60, the other 101 in a 45... both times I got a verbal warning and nothing else. Sometimes (though very rarely) doing the right thing actually pays off...
