Looking at getting some aftermarket fairings to change up the look of my bike. What's your opinion on ABS vs. PVC material? ABS is more expensive, but is it needed? Give me some pros and cons.

Thanks.

ABS plastic is the go. Just do a google search on the 2 and you'll find out heaps.

Pretty much ABS is more heat resistant (wont melt) and also keeps its flexibility. PVC melts and becomes extreemly  brittle (sorta like ice is brittle) once its heated and cooled down again.

Considering that my fairings get pretty toasty when I ride I'd say you really wannt try to go the ABS.

PVC might be cheaper - but you only want to have to buy them once.

I just want to second the 954s get hot!!!!! hottest bike i have ever rode, so if PVC become brittle after being heated it might be a good idea to go with the ABS i bought a whole set for $560 with shipping insurance, People say that you have to mod these a little to get them to fit perfect but i dont mind, the next lowest price i saw for these fairings was950. I can drill holes all day long for $390. Takes a long time to ship, but its worth it.

Get the konica minolta fairings... they are soooooooooooooo sexy.  Girls will be all like "yeah let me give you my number" and you be all like "sure i'll take it, then we can bou-ka-chic-a-bow-wow" then they'll be all like "oh yeah let's do that!"

Yeahh....60% of the time, it works every time.
