ok, so i've owned my first bike a little over a week now and i have my first flat. im suprised i lasted this long what with all the roofing nails and whatnot all over the neighborhoods since the hurricane restoration. but still... i was pissed. i realized i had tire plugs, and even though i hate plugs, now i can at least ride it to get patched for a more permanent solution. so anyway, just rambling, at work, bored, thinking about my sexy black baby, later guys and girls.

very dangerous to ride with a patch, spend the money and buy a tire.

a properly applied patch is supposed to be just as good as a new tire. but ive always just replaced the tire when i got a nail or whatever. something about the thought of possibly loosing pressure while leaned over in a curve just scares me.

Thats right. When you get a flat in a car, at least you still have 3 tires that are good. On a bike you only have 1 good tire after a blow out. I'd just replace it if you get a flat.
