I'm currently in the process of overhauling the appearance of  my bike. I already ordered new straight white plastics for the whole bike, which i'll have custom re-painted to the original '95 CBR600F3 paint job (White/purp/neon yellow) Anyway, I need to get the back section [swingarm and such] of my frame sandblasted to get the rust spots off, as well as polished. With work and school, I dont have much time to do this myself, so does anybody know of any cycle cleaning specialists they'd recommend for this job??? I live in Milwaukee, WI. but a small trip would be well worth it. I also need a place to restore/repaint my rims to the shiny metallic lime green color.

Any tips/recommendations would be appreciated!! THanks! ^_^

Well, don't have any suggestions on where to take it, but I recommend not polishing the frame or swingarm. It's made of steel. It will rust without some kind of protection on it. Sure it could be polished, but then it would need to be clear coated, otherwise it will turn to rust. Powder coating is a nice way to go, or just sand and paint it.

.Polished bikes look great......but if you don't have to time to polish it yourself.....you damn sure aren't going to have the time to keep it looking clean.  I spend ssssoooo much time cleaing my frame, swingarm, and rims.  Almost feels like i spend as much time cleaning as i do riding.  Its tough.


But thats just my opinion.  GOOD LUCK WITH THE OVERHAUL!

Like He Said If You Don't have The Time And Or Patience Its Not Worth It ... Takes Forever To Clean The Chrome/Polish ... My Buddy Just Bought A Brand New R6 All Black The Whole Thing ... He Never Has To Clean The Thing Where As I Have To Take A Half Of Saturday To Scrub The Shit Outta The Frame Swingarm Rims Etc. Its A Pain But Like Dagds10 Said Bikes Look Super Clean Polished/Chromed.
