Thank you so much!! If anyone can think of anything else I can do to really make the bike Pop just let me know. I have 2 weeks and 5 days left to do stuff to the the bike, the more I can do the the faster that time will pass. If anyone is in So Cal and wants to ride let me know, I could use some more ride time, once my husband gets home I dont think he's gonna let me drive it. He won't ride on back, thats a girls seat! I guess I will just have to get my own bike.  Oh and one more question for you guys, when I took it in today I ran into some friends of my husband, they were asking about the bike and then told me that I got taken, it's a 2002 with 8 thousand miles and I paid 4 thousand was that too much? I thought it was a great deal.

Well I am glad that you are ok. Rebuilding her will be fun its just a shame that now you have to do it. But I am sure she will love all the extra attention. I came close to doing the same thing today. I decided to take out my husbands bike and try to get good at turns, I really suck at them, I get freaked out leaning. I don't know what I did worng today but I came close to eating some pavement. This might be a stupid question, but my husband is from wyoming and wants to move back, I see snow in your pics, can you ride your bike in the snow and on ice?

No. Basiclly riding season ends with the first snow here, does not come back till april/may. During winter even if its warm enough and the roads are dry they have salted or sanded and its all over the roads.

Yeah, thats real nice to do for your husband.  I know its a hard job to be a military wife.  Hats off to you as well.  Nice pics.  When I went to Iraq back in 03, I came home to a surprise too.  Lets just say we broke up soon after that.  I have the same color scheme on my bike.  Its acting up right now, but if I cant get it fixed soon, Its gotta go.  I'll be getting an 07 cbr 1000.  Not feeling the 08s.

ahh but see we have 2 of those. My husbands dad broke his back doing jumps on one and after that he gave us the other 2 that he had. They are fun but we dn't get to use them very much.

Doogstar. I have to say I am sorry for what you came home to. That suck's. 5 of the guys in my husbands unit are coming home to divorce papers and a prego wife that was not prego when they left. It's sad. It is hard to be the wife of a marine but it's worth it. I Love my huband to death and I never want to be without him. But I would rather he fight a war somewhere else than do it here at home where our son is in danger. One more year and he will be out for good, I hope. I can't wait. Good luck with the bike, I hope you can get it running good.

I can't get over how nice all of you guys are. The bike guys out here are mean. I would never have figured out how to do the stuff on the bike without your help. So thanks again. You all must make your wife or gf so happy.

Thanks, now I'm not saying that he can go out for that first ride without me!! I also expect a few other types of "rides" before he takes the bike out. My huband is pretty cool, and my hat is always off to him and everyone else who fights so I don't have to.

So I still need some ideas on what extras to do to the bike, I have a little under 5 thousand to make this bike great!
