Fellas and Ladies, I just bought a '99 f4 from a buddy because he practically gave it to me. I like the f4i body style better though. Can I put all the cosmetics from a 2001-2003 f4i on my f4? If so, how much modification will i have to do? Any help with this question is appreciated. The Kid

Kid, Yes, it is my understanding this can be done without too much trouble. I think the subframe has be changed. There is a guy in Atlanta that recently did the conversion but since I had a f4i, I wasn't paying much attention when I heard the details. If you have not found any information and are still interested, shoot me a pm and I will contact him and find out some details. I would think someone on this forum would have the answer. Come on techies, help him out.

The headlights are different ( obviously) and than makes the wiring different...unless you can get the F4i stuff cheap, it can be a bit spendy to do the swap

Yea, the rear tail of course and the subframe for that, as well as the wiring harness's are different and if you go to the digital speedo you have to put the sending unit from a fi bike in your tank. you'll have to check for the difference in sensors as well. I think If I had an f4 which my brother does, I would probably leave the front alone and just go to the f4i tail and seats. It's probably the cheapest and easiest thing to do.
