Don't get me wrong. I love my Akrap slip on but the smell it is emitting is rather bad. I installed it approx 50 miles ago and wonder if anyone else has an idea of how long the smell will last. I recently had a Jardine and don't recall if that new muffler smell lasted quite as long.

sometimes it takes a while for the fresh packing to burn up ! it may take a few hundred miles all depends on temp and the fabric resistance .
