What's up in Honda land guys (and gal)? I'm the new owner of a silver/black 1K RR and am glad to find this site. Last bike was a turbo Busa (all wrenching and tuning by yours truly) and I'm finding the CBR is kinda not in the same league power wise. Don't get me wrong, I'm loving the CBR more each day. It has excellent manners everywhere and to me it's more comfortable than the Busa. That's basically why I sold it -- 300+hp really jerks you around.

Anyway, I hope this forum prospers -- the more motorheads in a single place yields excellent tips for everyone.

P.S. The CBR handles so effortlessly that at first I was afraid to even change lanes. Nothing like pushing that heavy Busa around. I LIKEY!!

the cbr will make you fall in love once you get neck deep in a corner and can not only hold your line and come out....but power out strong. its truly one of the best engineered bikes around. oh yeah i hope you were not expecting the cbr to be in the same league power wise as a 300+ hp turbo 1300cc hayabusa.....keep riding you'll appreciate your bike more and more. welcome to the club........

RSheffi -- You hit it on the head. Instead of fighting a huge, heavy, over-powered beast through the curves you only have to think about turning and the 1kRR obeys. The first couple of rides I had to be careful not to cross 3 lanes when passing. It just slips through corners with such ease. So yes, I'm lovin it more and more -- especially the usable power. And no, I never expected it to compare with the Busa. I had the turbo so long that I got lazy. You see, I never had to downshift. 6th gear and 4K rpms and the boooooost kicked in and peeled your arms back. So I'm almost to 1000 miles (1 week) and will begin testing the beast shortly. So far it's just been cornering tests and the CBR has exceeded my expectations.
