I rode my bike less than two weeks ago and everything was fine. I went out this morning to warm it up before heading to work. It was on full choke and cranked fine, but two minutes after the RPM's shot down to 1k then finally cut off. I was able to successfully crank it up but then it would immediately die. I tried a couple of things like lessening the choke and I even tried increasing the throttle but each time the bike would die. any ideas on this one? thanks 1999 CBR F4

That sounds exactly like what happened to my bike about 2 weeks ago. Mine was warming up with the choke on and suddenly the rpms dropped and it stalled. It would crank and maybe catch for a sec but would immediatlely stall. Id check the following: Make sure you have fuel in the tank and that the cutoff is open. I know it sounds obvious but as I discovered, my fuel sensor had been disconnected somehow and my tank was dry. Put in fresh gas if its been sitting. Theres a good chance that your carbs might just be flooded so to counter that, just let it sit for 24 hrs and try again. After that if needed, Check your fuel pump to make sure its running and that its fueling the carbs. Lastly it takes a while but it could also be useful to check your plugs. Thier condition could tell u if your having a problem in your carbs or if theyre just gunked. Obviously theres a few possibilities. For me, after i replaced my plugs it ran fine. The bike had also sat for a few days so it could have just been my carbs and the low gas as well. Best of luck getting it running.
